Confused about what you can copy legally? Worried about playing sound recordings and film content for educational use?

Join Sarah Powell and Elliott Bledsoe from the Australian Libraries and Archives Copyright Coalition (ALACC) and Kim Gutchlag for a webinar on copyright in schools.

Sarah Powell is the Copyright Law & Policy Adviser with ALACC. She is very familiar with copyright matters in New Zealand having after working at Auckland Museum and AUT as a copyright advisor and as a previous chair of the LIANZA Standing Committee on Copyright. Kim Gutchlag works at the Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa National Library of New Zealand and is a long-standing member of the LIANZA Standing Committee on Copyright.

Elliott Bledsoe is the Copyright Officer for ALACC and has extensive experience delivering copyright training workshops for librarians and archivists.

In the webinar, they will go over the educational exceptions in New Zealand’s Copyright Act, take a look at licences for educational institutions and work through some common scenarios faced by school librarians.
