A LIANZA TEL SIG event - The state of open access in Aotearoa New Zealand. How much is behind paywalls?
Wednesday October 27, 2021 @ 12PM-1PM

No cost, but registration is required.

For three years CONZUL has been collecting data on how much of our university research is available to anyone: that is, can the public, health professionals, practitioners, journalists, businesses, policy-makers and research or teaching institutions without subscriptions read (and cite) our work? Who are we publishing with and how much is this costing us on top of subscriptions? How well are we using our institutional repositories? Has the picture changed over the last few years? We’re gradually getting more work in the open, but it’s costing more, and we could be doing a lot better.

Your presenters: Jess Howie (University of Waikato Research Services Librarian) and Richard White (University of Otago Manager Copyright & Open Access) will answer all these questions and more.

For details check out the report and infographic from the CONZUL website.
