LIANZA CatSIG PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ONLINE TALKS 2020
Thursdays, October 01 - November 05, 11am.

In lieu of our previously advertised and postponed CatSIG Professional Development Day, we’ve changed the format and taken it online.

Please join us on Zoom for weekly one hour presentations, held on Thursday mornings at 11am throughout October and early November 2020. The talks are on a variety of topics and are open to everyone, whatever your role or level of knowledge.

Sessions will last for up to an hour, including presentations of around 40 minutes and time for Q&A and networking. The lightening talks session includes three talks of around 10 minutes each, with time for Q&A and networking. Please see the schedule below, and the attached programme with abstracts for further details.

  • 1st October, 11am: CatSIG AGM, with an update from Anoushka McGuire on ORDAC (Oceania RDA Committee)
  • 8th October, 11am: We are important, and so is our work / Charlotte Christensen
  • 15th October: Lightning talks, 11am: Engage your users with Ngā Upoko Tukutuku! / David Church and Donna Salmon ; The power of 9 / Charlotte Christensen ; Updates from the National Library of New Zealand / Anoushka McGuire
  • 22nd October, 11am: Cataloguing rare materials: where do DCRM and RDA fit?/ Nina Whittaker
  • 5th November, 11am: Cataloguing websites at the National Library / Helen Jenkins
