INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF LIBRARY ASSOCIATIONS AND INSTITUTIONS (IFLA) ELECTIONS
Tuesday February 07, 1PM - 2PM

It is IFLA election season and we are keen to have more people from Aotearoa New Zealand involved in this global library organisation.

Every two years IFLA holds elections with hundreds of opportunities for enthusiastic candidates to contribute their ideas, energy, and expertise to developing activities and materials to support the global field.

This webinar will help you learn more about IFLA and how you can get involved. A panel of speakers involved in IFLA will share their experiences, chaired by Te Paea Paringatai (IFLA Professional Council chair) and  including Winston Roberts (IFLA Asia Oceania Division chair), Kat Cuttriss (Library Buildings and Equipment), Marisa King (Academic and Research Libraries Section secretary). Lis Marrow (Library Services to Multi-cultural Populations Section).

We encourage IFLA personal affiliates and representatives of IFLA institutional members to attend to help make some NZ nomination decisions for submission by Friday February 24.

Participation brings benefits to LIANZA and our library and information sector. It is an opportunity to highlight great ideas and practices at home, building our NZ’s profile, but also to look to the global community for support, insights and answers to common challenges we face. Find out more about these opportunities here:

Please use the register button to RSVP and the Zoom link and password for the session will be emailed to you.
