LIANZA WEBINAR - AN UPDATE ON NGĀ UPOKO TUKUTUKU - MĀORI METADATA PROJECT
NEW DATE - Friday April 28, 1PM - 2PM

Ngā Upoko Tukutuku is a bilingual thesaurus of searchable subject terms in te reo Māori designed to improve access to taonga in libraries, archives, and other collecting institutions. It has been created to link students, researchers, and communities to taonga using Māori concepts from a Te Ao Māori worldview.

This webinar will introduce you to this important mahi. You will learn how the project came to be, how terms are developed, and how you can engage with this work. You’ll also hear about opportunities to increase your knowledge of mātauranga Māori and what is planned for Ngā Upoko Tukutuku in the future.

Join Dale Cousens and members of Te Whakakaokao, the Ngā Upoko Tukutuku Reo Māori Working Group for this webinar.

Ngā Upoku Tukutuku is a jointly sponsored project between Te Rau Herenga o Aotearoa LIANZA, Te Rōpū Whakahau, and National Library of New Zealand Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa.
