LIANZA WEBINAR - ACCESSING IMAGES FROM THE FAIRFAX ARCHIVES

Fairfax Publications had seven newspapers across New Zealand. Its one-and-a-half million-piece vintage photograph archive was sent to the US to be digitized and was caught up in a series of problems. It was rescued by the photography gallery, Duncan Miller Gallery in Los Angeles, and their plan is to return the archive to New Zealand in a responsible manner. Your library will want to join this webinar to find out how you can acquire some of these images for your collections. Daniel Miller, Duncan Miller Gallery director, will present at the webinar. He will discuss the archive, and how libraries can acquire sections that fit their collections.
