LIANZA CAT SIG PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ONLINE TALK SERIES
Friday October 7, then every Thursday in October 11am - 12pm

Please join LIANZA CAT SIG  for weekly Zoom presentations over October. Beginning on Friday 7 October the series continues on Thursday mornings throughout October. The talks are on a variety of topics and are open to everyone, whatever your role or level of knowledge.

Cataloging Code of Ethics

Beth Shoemaker and Karen Snow, co-chairs of the Cataloging Ethics Steering Committee, will discuss the recently released Cataloging Code of Ethics, a document many years in the making. The Cataloging Ethics Steering Committee hopes that the Cataloging Code of Ethics will provide a helpful framework for the discussion of ethics within the entire cataloging ecosystem: standards, practices, policies, and work environment must be examined as we strive for social justice in cataloging work.

Perhaps you’ve heard of MarcEdit but don’t know what it is or how it’s used. In this session Sandra McKenzie will show you why it’s a well-loved tool in her cataloging toolbox and demonstrate how to use it.
