LIANZA TEL SIG - IFLA - STORIES FROM THE INSIDE
Friday June 03 at 12NOON - 1PM NZST

Discover the range of libraries and projects that are part of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions( IFLA) and how New Zealand library professionals are involved in contributing to making access to information part of everyone’s daily life.

We have a panel of four librarians, each involved in a different aspect of IFLA sharing their projects and how they became involved.

  • Janet Fletcher is the Secretary of the International Federation of Library Associations, Library Buildings and Equipment Section (LBES).
  • Marisa King is Secretary for the Academic & Research Libraries Section Committee.
  • Saima Qutab worked as a media officer for the Environment, Sustainability and Libraries Section and was part of the team involved in transitioning ENSULIB from a SIG to a Section.
  • Kat Cuttriss is an elected member of the IFLA Library Buildings and Equipment Section (LBES) Standing Committee.

Each will be sharing how they became involved in IFLA, current projects they are working on and the opportunities available for New Zealand library professionals within IFLA.

Please use the register button to RSVP and the Zoom link and password for the session will be emailed to you.

This session will be recorded & uploaded to the LIANZA YouTube Channel.
