LIANZA ACCESSIBILITY WORKSHOPS
First Thursday of the Month (May-August) at 10:30AM - 11:30 AM

Tom Smith has been working at Blind Low Vision NZ for almost two decades in a variety of roles. He started out training adaptive technology to blind and low vision users for the first six years. He then went into web accessibility, providing training and speaking at many conferences about digital accessibility and creating accessible content.

He is in his happy place now at the Blind Low Vision NZ Library, working on projects and finding ways to improve access to books for people with print disabilities. He genuinely loves learning, and sharing what he has learned along the way.

Tom is passionate about accessibility, good design, and making soft toys for his daughter. He also wrote this bio, but though it would sound less egotistical written in the third person.
