2022 BOOKS ALIVE AND VIRTUAL STORYTIMES Q & A
Tuesday March 15, 1-2pm

We are looking forward to offering Books Alive finalist events and virtual storytimes for the third year.

We hope your school or public library can join us this year to celebrate and promote the best of NZ literature for children and young adults and the importance of reading for pleasure.

Bring along your thoughts and questions for this Q & A event and find out how your library can participate in the Books Alive finalist events and virtual storytimes.

If your library participated in previous years, come and share your ideas and tips. If this is new to your library, come and find out how you can be involved. This is an unparalleled chance to interact with some of our finest authors and illustrators.

Last year 16 school and public libraries offered Books Alive events and 20 virtual storytimes were recorded and shared. In 2020 libraries shared 66 virtual storytimes.

There is capacity to offer more events this year so we urge your school or public library to get involved.

Participating libraries will also have the chance to register staff for free on a Smartphone video DIY  on engaging with your audiences through the creation of video stories.

LIANZA is proud to partner with NZ Book Awards Trust and thanks the NZ Libraries Partnership Programme for funding to enable these online events. We also appreciate the support of SLANZA.

There is time to plan,  so join us for this Q&A and find out how to get involved.
