LIANZA COVID MEETUP – Ensuring Access
Thursday December 09, 2021 @ 11AM

Libraries want to be inclusive ... and libraries also want to contribute to strong and healthy communities.

  • So how will any COVID restrictions affect people who want to use libraries?
  • Who will be most affected by these restrictions?
  • What can libraries do to ensure access?

The new COVID protection framework has been released and libraries are making crucial decisions about how to operate at red, orange and green traffic lights  https://covid19.govt.nz/alert-levels-and-updates/covid-19-protection-framework/.

What CAN libraries be doing to reduce the impact on people who may be excluded from public spaces like libraries?

What innovative solutions can be provided for people reluctant or unable to visit physical library spaces during COVID?

What digital and non-contact services are libraries planning to make available to their communities?

We began this conversation at the LIANZA conference in the Libraries in the time of COVID kōrero.
Join us again to share challenges, ideas and solutions with your colleagues.

Everyone is welcome – whatever part of the library and information sector you work in! This is our fourth COVID meetup this year. The ideas shared will be collated and the recording will also be made available to participants.

Please use the register button to RSVP and the Zoom link and password for the session will be emailed to you.
