LITERACY ACROSS THE DIVIDE: INFORMATION LITERACY AS THE KEY TO STUDENT TRANSITION - BOOK LAUNCH
Wednesday November 10, 2021 - 5:20PM

You’re invited to celebrate a new resource that questions what it means to be information literate in today’s day and age! Literacy Across the Divide: Information Literacy as the Key to Student Transition, examines significant questions related to information literacy learning and student transition to higher education in Aotearoa New Zealand.

This book tries to answer important questions like, what does it mean to be information literate in Aotearoa today? What could be the role of the library in our senior secondary schools and tertiary learning environments and how effectively do we enable student transition to higher education in Aotearoa New Zealand? Written by and for teachers, librarians, and researchers, and based on five years of research into academic and information literacy, and student transition, this edited volume provides valuable new information on literacy resources as well as new insights into information literacy learning, the role of libraries and librarians, student transition, and teacher-librarian partnerships.

This book is being launched at the LIANZA 2021 Conference. You will hear from Lisa Emerson, Senga White and Catherine Doughty, three members of the research project team.

We invite you to join us in celebrating this amazing new resource on Wednesday 10 November at 5.20pm.
