LIANZA TEL SIG - New Model Library & Open Science projects (US & Netherlands): OCLC perspectives on the shift to open in libraries
Tuesday November 23, 2021 @ 9AM

It is our great privilege to host our guest speakers from OCLC's Research teams based in US AND Netherlands, Dr Rebecca Bryant and Titia Van der Werf. Using the findings from recent OCLC research projects, they will discuss the shift to open in libraries from three different perspectives and facilitate the open discussion on:

  1. How the move to open content stimulates the shift towards the facilitated collection (Open Content Report from 2020 and Lorcan Dempsey’s Collection Directions);
  2. How the COVID19-pandemic has stimulated new opportunities to promote open content (New Model Library project);
  3. How OA and Open Science mandates are influencing Research Information Management practices (Practices and Patterns report and the upcoming Report about RIM in the US)
