LIANZA WEBINAR - PICTION LIBRARY SPEAKS ABOUT WORKING TOWARDS BEING DEMENTIA FRIENDLY
Wednesday September 29, 2021 - 2.00PM

You’re invited to learn more about dementia-friendly libraries! As seen recently on 1 News, libraries are becoming more accessible for those who are living with dementia. Picton Library is the first library in New Zealand to be formally recognised by Alzeheimers NZ as Working to Be Dementia Friendly. Elisabeth Marrow, Picton Librarian/Customer Service Supervisor, will describe why her library decided to engage in Alzheimer NZ’s Dementia Friendly Recognition Programme and the process undertaken to gain this recognition. Alzheimers NZ presenters will discuss how your library could become dementia friendly.  We’ll also have someone who has dementia join us to discuss their experience in the library.
