LIANZA SLIS - SLISANINE SESSION #2: REFERENCE REQUESTS TRACKING & REPORTING IN SPECIAL LIBRARIES Wednesday July 28, 2021 - 12PM-1PM
After the success of our inaugural SLISanine session in May, we are going to run another one. The format is simple: A topic goes out with several meaty questions for discussion and attendees come along, sit in a circle where everyone can contribute, share knowledge and learn from each other.
Facilitators will keep the session on track but It’s all about creating an opportunity to come together to share stories and ideas. The topic this time will be: managing reference requests.
Undertaking literature search and reference requests is a core service offering for many special libraries. But managing and tracking these requests, and generating reports for management can be a time-consuming and often a manual process.
Come along, share your experience, and some ideas/hacks on how you could improve these processes at your place.
Take the lift to L4. Go to the Treaty of Waitangi exhibition space and someone will let you up the stairs to the Reading Room. There is a lift available for anyone with mobility issues. Please advise if you will require assistance when you register. Don’t forget to scan the COVID-19 QR upon arrival at the venue.
This is a free, in-person event, but please register so we know who to expect. The space can accommodate up to 30 people.
