LIANZA WEBINAR - EARLY LITERACY STORYTIMES & TRAINING
Wednesday May 5, 6PM-7PM

Storytimes are widely regarded as being essential in public libraries but what do we actually know about them? For their MIS research projects Alicia Harbison-Price and Emma Stilwell investigated early literacy storytimes in Aotearoa New Zealand. Alicia focused on librarians' perceptions of the aim and value of storytimes, their training, and whether early literacy skills are being incorporated into storytimes, while Emma investigated the early literacy based content librarians learn in their workplace training from libraries across New Zealand.

This webinar will get librarians and managers alike thinking about how their storytimes are supporting their library's goals towards creating passionate, young readers.
