LIANZA TELSIG EVENT: AN OPEN JOURNAL DISCUSSION GROUP MEETING
Tuesday October 27th & Wednesday October 28th, 5PM-6PM.

Ever wondered what our Journal Discussion Groups are all about? Be part of a stimulating discussion where we’ll discuss the following article:

Maddox, J., & Stanfield, L. (2019). A survey of technology used to conduct virtual research consultations in academic libraries. Journal of Library & Information Services in Distance Learning, 13(3), 245-261. https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/1533290X.2018.1555567

Questions:

  • Does your library offer some form of research consultation service?
  • Has the delivery of this service changed due to COVID? i.e. have you had to move away from face-to-face to virtual research consultations?
  • What technology have you used to provide this service? Are you satisfied with it?
  • What are the advantages/disadvantages of these technologies? Are there any limitations?

All welcome (even if you haven’t read the article!)
