LIANZA TELSIG - REPORT BACK FROM VALA
August 4th, 5PM.

If your professional development budget didn’t extend to getting you to the VALA conference held in February this year, here’s the next best thing! We’ve asked some of our community to report back on how they found the conference and their learnings from the sessions they attended. We’ve planned for our speakers to provide a short presentation (with time for questions) via an online session that will allow you to zoom in from anywhere.

Our speakers:

  • Claire Lanyon (Manager, Cultural Collections, the University of Auckland) Community, discoverability and robots in heritage collections
  • Donna Coventry (Scholarly Communications Librarian - Open Publishing, Auckland University of Technology) Open themes from VALA
  • Rebecca Hastie (Subject Librarian, Victoria University of Wellington) Kindness and community
  • Tim Darlington (Associate University Librarian, Massey University) Interesting presentations and some hindsight-powered assessment of how we were talking about COVID-19 at the conference versus what actually happened over the next few months

Please use the register button to RSVP and the Zoom link and password for the session will be emailed to you.

Please do not share this Zoom link or password.
