LIANZA Hikuwai Professional Registation Workshop & AGM

  • Saturday, September 21, 2019
  • 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Pioneer Women’s Hall, Ellen Melville Centre, 2 Freyburg Place, Auckland Central

Registration is closed

Join us on Saturday 21 September at the Ellen Melville Centre for a morning of learning and discussion.

First up we are running another of our popular professional registration workshops. Come along and get a hand with the ins and outs of registration, including time and support to draft reflective journal entries. The 90-minute workshop will be facilitated by Philip Miles, the Hikuwai Regional Councillor and starts at 9.30am.

After the workshop at 11 we will host a morning tea and an informal AGM. Anahera Morehu, LIANZA President-elect, will go over LIANZA’s strategy, and we will give some highlights from what the Hikuwai community has been up to for the past year and what lies in store for the year ahead. As always, we are keen to hear from you if you have great ideas for future events or other ways we can support the profession locally.

We are also interested to hear from you (at this meeting or outside it) if you are interested in joining the committee. The key requirements are:

  • ·         A monthly zoom meeting - at the moment it is on a Monday late afternoon
  • ·         Help with organising professional or networking events in the region.

You would be joining some experienced members so there is plenty of support for new people.

Attendance at the morning event can contribute towards BoK 1: the information environment, information policy and ethics and BoK 9: Management in information organisations.

Please come along with a gold coin koha.
